The wallpaper field guide

Better questions make better walls.

A few practical notes can make the first conversation easier. If you are still unsure, call and describe the room in your own words.

Questions before the details?

Call (979) 652-5994 and ask about your project. A full brief is optional.

Can I call before I know my wall measurements?

Yes. A first conversation can start with the room, the kind of wallpaper you are considering, and what you would like to change. Measurements and photos can be useful context for a more detailed estimate, but they are not a condition of calling.

What can affect an installation estimate?

Room size, wall condition, the material and its pattern repeat, the number of corners or openings, access, removal of existing paper, and the preparation needed can all affect the scope. The clearest estimate comes from understanding the actual room and the material together.

Does peel-and-stick wallpaper need wall preparation?

It still needs a clean, smooth, suitable surface. Dust, texture, repairs, moisture, and uneven areas can affect how the panels align and hold. The product instructions and the wall condition should be considered together.

What is important about pattern matching?

Large or directional repeats need a layout plan before installation. The first strip can influence what the eye sees at the room entry, and seams around corners, doors, windows, and fixtures need attention so the pattern feels continuous.

Can old wallpaper be removed before new wallpaper is installed?

Yes, wallpaper removal is a confirmed service. The wall underneath may need additional smoothing or preparation after the old material is removed, so the next finish should be part of the scope conversation.

Do you install commercial wallcoverings?

Yes. Commercial wallpaper installation is available for offices, retail, hospitality, and other commercial spaces. Call to discuss the rooms, access, material, and the way the space needs to function.

Can I ask about an on-site assessment or measurements?

You can call and ask whether an on-site consultation, wall inspection, or measurement visit can be arranged for your project. Availability is by request and subject to confirmation; a visit is not automatically included, guaranteed, or represented as free.

What if I only have a general idea?

That is enough to start. Tell us the room, the mood, or the change you want to make. We can help identify what details would be useful next without turning the first contact into a long intake process.
